Programming Add-ons

The Hybrid Engine Intermediate Running Program, Build from 20 to 40 miles per week!

This 12-week running add-on program is for the intermediate runner. Strength athletes or CrossFit athletes or low volume runners currently already attending CrossFit or functional fitness classes or doing a strength program concurrently could use this program to increase their conditioning and run volume.  It can be completed in about 30-60 minutes per day and builds up over time.  This program is designed for someone who currently runs 20-30 miles per week and is looking to increase that capacity/speed in preparation for Hybrid Racing. This program culminates in a race day in week 12 and builds athletes up to 40 miles to week. After this program, athletes can move on to The Hybrid Engine's Advanced running program!

This program starts with 2 quality days per week in the first 4 weeks and has 3 quality days in weeks 5-12. The quality days fall on days 1, 3, and 5 of the week.

The Hybrid Engine MACHINE Master! 

This 12-week program is the ultimate machine builder! You can add these workouts onto your own running, CrossFit, or lifting program to bring your conditioning and power output on the machines to a much greater level! The workouts in this program can all be done on an Assault AirBike, Echo AirBike, Stationary bike/trainer, Row erg, Ski erg, Bike erg, or any other form of machine. You can mix and match, doing some workouts on each machine or pick one machine for the duration and then repeat on a different machine afterward!  Following the end of this program, you can jump on to the polarization portion of T.H.E. MACHINE build (coming soon) or repeat this program using a different machine! Paired with a comprehensive running program (like The Hybrid Engine's running for Hybrid Fitness programs) this program will have you dominating any engine based Hybrid event!

Hybrid Running for the Strength or CrossFit Athlete, 0-8mi/wk starter

This 12-week running add-on program is for the Strength athlete or CrossFit athlete currently already attending CrossFit or functional fitness classes or doing a strength program concurrently.  It can be completed in about 20-45 minutes per day and builds up over time.  This program is designed for someone who currently runs only 0-8 miles per week and is looking to increase that capacity/speed.  

Hybrid Strength for the Endurance Athlete, 0-1 year strength training experience

This 12-week beginner strength program is for the runner, biker, rower, skier, or other endurance athlete that needs an introduction to the big 3 lifts in strength training (Squat, Press, Deadlift).  It can be completed concurrently with another endurance program and takes about 20-45 minutes per day, building up over time.  The warm-up and mobility listed are optional.  It is designed for someone who currently has 0 to 1 year of experience lifting free weights and wants to get better muscle recruitment and strength.
